How do I plant my plants in a LECHUZA planter?
Every LECHUZA planter is delivered complete with irrigation system. The delivery includes, depending on the model, the planter itself, an inner tray or a partition bottom and the original LECHUZA irrigation system with water level indicator and LECHUZA-PON plant substrate. This serves as the drainage layer. Assemble the planter box according to the instructions.
Make sure LECHUZA-PON or another LECHUZA plant substrate is ready to go. For small planters, the amount of LECHUZA-PON provided is sufficient for a full planting.
Place the included LECHUZA-PON plant substrate as a drainage layer on the dividing floor in the planter. This is important so that water can be transported from the reservoir to the plant. Next, fill the planter box with a layer of the desired substrate. Just enough so that your plant is at the right height in the planter.
Place your plant in the planter as usual. The roots do not need to be made completely free of soil! Finally, fill the planter box with the substrate of your choice. Now start the watering phase. The LECHUZA irrigation system will soon supply your plants with water. Just like in nature.
Easy filling thanks to the PON measuring cup
The PON measuring cup makes it easy to fill your planters with LECHUZA PON. Whether you want to lay a drainage layer with LECHUZA PON, refill your planters or repot your plants, the large beveled opening enables quick and clean filling.

The simple LECHUZA stick system
Thanks to its quick and easy use, you can easily grow your flowers and herbs. And that's without repotting! Simply insert the irrigation stick into the plant's growing pot and place it in your new planter.
The practical plant plate offers all LECHUZA enthusiasts the opportunity to convert their already existing planters with the LECHUZA stick system for permanent planting with LECHUZA plant substrate.
And this is how it works: Insert the planting plate into your CUBE Color 14, for example, fill the planter box as usual with the substrate of your choice and place your plant. Thanks to the practical planting plate, you can now also take advantage of the classic, original LECHUZA irrigation system.
The planter is 10.3 x 2 cm in size and thus suitable for all containers with stick watering systems (CUBE Color 14/16, CUBE Color Triple, CUBE Glossy 14/16, CUBE Glossy Triple, CANTO Stone 14, YULA planter, PILA stick and OJO).
Repot
The right pot for every size
LECHUZA has the right planter for every size - making it easy to move your plants around!
To do this, remove them from the pot. If the roots have grown through the dividing soil, gently pull it out. If necessary, shorten the ends of the roots under the dividing soil. This rejuvenation cure for your plant will stimulate root growth. When your plant has completely surrounded the dividing soil with its roots, remove the entire root ball including the dividing soil from the pot and repot it into a larger pot.
